Good morning and welcome to Day 7 of 31 Days of Resolutions!
When was the last time you sat down to read a book, uninterrupted, for 30 minutes? For some of you that answer might be “Last night!” but for others it might be a little harder to nail down a date.
Taking time for yourself as a mom, either for pleasure reading or to learn something new, is so important! Last summer I made a point to read for at least 30 minutes before bed each night and I have noticed such a huge change since then! The nights when I read I fall asleep so much easier. There really is something to those studies that say the lights from our electronics is keeping us awake- I fully believe this. It used to take me an hour to fall asleep, now it takes no more than 15 minutes.
So grab that book that you bought with the intention of reading but never got around to it and take just 30 minutes for yourself today. I think you’ll find that when you’re done you’ll feel relaxed, recharged, and and hooked on a good story!
