Good morning and welcome to Day 19 of 31 Days of Resolutions!
I will be the first to admit that I’m addicted to my phone. I can make all the rationalizations that I want (it’s my phone, my camera, my way of communicating with my family and friends!) but at the end of the day it’s more often a distraction from what really matters or from what I should be doing instead. I can’t be the only one who’s unknowingly wasted hours on social media and games on my phone.
I’m sure a psychologist would love to delve deep into the issues I have just revealed to y’all here, but instead of dwelling on the reasons why I’m going to be proactive and take a step in the right direction and I hope you’ll join me!
Today while eating lunch (which I usually do after laying my daughter down for her nap) I am not going to look at any screens. No phone, iPad, TV, or computer. I’m going to look out a window instead and spend time quieting my mind and my heart in preparation for the rest of my day.
