Today I’m about to get real with y’all- I’m going to show you my dirty floor! This is difficult for me- I really don’t want you to see how nasty it was. So please, be a dear and have a little grace for me if you can!
As you may know if you follow me on Facebook, we just recently bought a house! We moved in 2 weeks ago and are loving it! Moving out of the rental house, cleaning both the rental and the new house, and unpacking in the new house has made the last few weeks really stressful and exhausting.
So here’s where my tendency to over-commit and over-volunteer myself bites me in the rear- I volunteered to host our church small group this past Wednesday. Yes, I’m a crazy person. That made for a total of 9 days in our new house to prepare for hosting our friends and their children for dinner. Yikes!
To say that I was a cleaning and unpacking maniac is putting it lightly. My goal was to have our home safe- not put together, just safe. Well by the grace of God, with help from some very sweet friends, and the combined efforts of my husband and I we got it done!
Now, I do have two rooms and a garage that are a total hazard and are filled with boxes and random stuff that I just didn’t want to deal with, but the family room, den, kitchen, dining room and bathrooms are all set and done!
On Wednesday I cleaned like a crazy person. I scrubbed every surface I could get my hands on. I swept, mopped, vacuumed, and dusted like Bugs Bunny in that cartoon where he plays all the positions in a baseball game!
Wednesday came and went and it was great! Everyone had a fun evening and the kids played really well in our new play room.
And now it’s Saturday and I notice that there are crumbs under my daughter’s seat at the table. I busted out my new Bona Disposable Dusting Cloths that I bought on Friday at Lowe’s and got right to work. But I couldn’t just stop there. I went over the whole upstairs, the stairs, the basement, and even the sun room.
Y’all, I just cleaned all this on Wednesday afternoon! It’s not even been a full 3 days and look how dusty and disgusting my floors were!
Sweeping gets up a lot of junk, but it will never get the dust off my floor like these dusting cloths, and it only took 10 minutes!
What really blew me away about these cloths is how easy it was to clean the stairs. The last time I cleaned the stairs I had to bust out the vacuum and use the crevice tool to suck up all the dirt and dust leftover from moving in. But using my Bona Dusting Cloths took about one minute to clean the wood part of the stairs and I was done! So much easier!
Our new house is almost all laminate flooring, and just the thought of having to sweep almost every day to keep the floors clean makes me feel tired. Using disposable cloths will save me so much time and effort, and as a busy mom I will take that over the chore of sweeping any day!
So, the next time I need to get my house ready for entertaining or a play date, I’m going to walk right past my broom and grab my Bona Disposable Dusting Cloths to get the job done quickly!
Make sure that you grab this coupon for $3 off your next Bona purchase before you head to the store! The Bona Disposable Cleaning Cloths fit on both the Bona Hardwood Floor Mop and the competitor’s mop (what I used), so no matter what tool you have you can use these fabulous cloths!
